funky field trip

c and his class went on a field trip to martin farms a few weeks ago.


c's favorite part was jumping on the hay bales. his sweet teacher, mrs. mills is in the background. we <3 her so much.


after we left the farm we went to a local park to have lunch. if i told you they did this on their own- no posing- would you believe me? they did.

when i look at this picture i start singing "funky cole medina". break it down for me y'all!

while i went to tuscaloosa to be with my mom keith went with caleb to martin farms on a field trip. from all i heard they both had a pretty good time. isn't keith such a good daddy to take off work for a field trip and take pictures? i sure do think so.

sweet brooklyn and caleb. whenever i ask caleb who he played with at school that day he says, "all the boys and brooklyn. i'm not friends with the girls anymore." like brooklyn isn't a girl! but she is a cool girl, and so is her mama and grandmother. we all taught VBS together one year and i loved getting to know them both.

K3 field trip to Martin Farms

well, you'd have never known my boy had a fear of horses. he had an awesome time on this field trip with his school buddies. they petted goats, rode a hayride, played with rabbits and guinea pigs, brushed/rode/fed a horse- they were just country boys and girls gettin' down on the farm :) ha!
caleb was SO excited about this field trip and i think it was probably his favorite of the whole year. he never even batted an eye either when it was time for him to ride the little pony. a year ago, this caused some serious anxiety at a birthday party- so i'm glad to see him over this hurdle!
